The growth of the internet of things (IoT) is creating a lot of work for embedded system developers. They are developing devices for supply-chain IoT solutions that monitor equipment, trucks, containers, and other assets as they move across a region or country. They are building internet-connected dog collars, safety shoes, and other wearables that can track pets or alert teams if a colleague is in trouble. They are integrating internet connectivity into automobiles so that they can provide navigation, infotainment, and other connected car services to their owners.
